1.2 Table of results

* Product names are ordered alphabetically within each category. i.e. category 1 products have 4 greens, category 2 has 3 greens etc.
** Studied dose for Unique IS-2 in IBS population is 2 billion CFUs per day. Any product that can deliver this specific dose via 1 or more capsules/gummies, passes the test.

1.3 Summary

  • We found 23 products containing Unique IS-2.
  • 6 failed our screening process as they did not disclose their formula, making it impossible to know if they deliver the dose studied in clinical trials or not.
  • 5 failed as they could not be served at the studied dose – i.e. could not be expanded or divided to deliver the 2 billion CFU dose that has been studied for Unique IS-2.
  • 10 failed as they contained additional active ingredients that were not probiotics that had been studied in randomized controlled trials in IBS populations.
